SARRAZIN BRIDGE

In the middle of a steep valley, the Saracen Bridge is a huge arch carved out by limestone erosion.
According to the legend, in the 8th century, a Saracen on an expedition captured a young girl and escaped through this astonishing rock forming a bridge. The captive, struggling, fell unharmed under the arch with her captor killed instantly.

You can discover the site with the heritage circuit of the "Petite Cité de Caractère" of Vandoncourt, starting from the Damassine.
Long-distance hiking trails: GR de Pays and GR5 pass nearby.

Car access: park your car at the Vandoncourt lookout and follow the signs through the woods for about 1km to reach the bridge.
