Regional nature reserve of the Basse-Savoureuse

The reserve is located next to the Pays de Montbéliard leisure centre. It is also close to the Parc des Deux Canaux. With a surface area of 45 ha, this reserve is essentially made up of one of the rare alluvial forests in Franche-Comté where the river "La Savoureuse" can flow, around a biological ensemble of great ecological diversity. Indeed, no less than 255 species of plants, 90 species of mushrooms and many exceptional species such as the night heron, the woodpecker, the red-backed shrike or the "marsh copper" butterfly live in the reserve.
