Discover the history and richness of electronic music during an afternoon devoted to this musical universe.
From 3pm to 4.30pm, journalist and author Olivier Pernot will be giving a musical talk entitled "A century of electronic music". Using archive footage and listening to excerpts, he will retrace the major periods in the history of electronic music, the evolution of technology and the artists who have left their mark, from Karlheinz Stockhausen to Daft Punk, via Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Depeche Mode and Aphex Twin.
Olivier Pernot has worked with Tsugi and Libération. He is the author of Electro 100: les albums essentiels des musiques électroniques (published by Le Mot et Le Reste).
From 4.45pm to 5.30pm, librarian Thomas will take you on a journey of discovery with a selection of iconic electro tracks.
