Parc des Alliaires
The Parc des Alliaires in Vieux-Charmont, a scientific and educational park
Inaugurated in September 2024, this urban park is located on a polluted 2-hectare former industrial wasteland, part of which has been converted into a public park.
A veritable living laboratory, the park is testing "phytomanagement" to reduce pollution. This technique involves selecting plants that are useful for soil decontamination.
A research site, a plant technology demonstrator, a space for scientific mediation and fun, the Parc des Alliaires is open to the general public and supports the region in its necessary industrial transformation.
The educational trail (panels) invites the public to (re)discover the wonderful world hidden beneath our feet and its links with the plants that grow there.
> Access via the Graviers pond.
Dogs welcome, kept on a lead.
