MUSEUM OF COUNTRY LIFE AND TRADITIONAL CRAFTS

Built in 1766, the farmhouse which houses the museum was extended in the 19th century. In the outbuildings of the building, you can see agricultural machinery, old tools and a presentation of old trades (shoemaker, carpenter, cooper, tinker, clog maker, wood turner, etc.).
In the main building, a 19th century Montbeliarde interior (kitchen, dining room, bedroom with furniture and people in period costumes) occupies the ground floor. On the first and second floors, there is a documentation room on local heritage and areas for permanent and occasional exhibitions.
A room also presents the work of Oehmichen, inventor of the modern helicopter who spent his entire adolescence in the village. Another room presents the work of the painter Louis Vuillequez, who was born on this farm.
