Concert : Echos du temps
By the Conservatoire du Pays de Montbéliard
From Mozart to the new
At the heart of this programme is the Bowling Trio, composed in 1786 by W.A. Mozart, his first work for clarinet, viola and piano.
Legend has it that it was inspired by a game of skittles, hence the nickname Kegelstatt-Trio. But it was not until the end of the nineteenth century that Mozart's innovative idea really began to spread, notably through Bruch's 8 Stücke, Op. 83.
The ensemble, then revealing the full extent of its possibilities, gradually gained in popularity, until it enjoyed real success with contemporary composers.
Among them, three figures from the Conservatoire offer their personal and modern vision of this trio, providing an echo to this Mozartian innovation.
On the programme: W.A. Mozart, M. Bruch, L. Riou, A. Tules (N. Touati), C. van Hemelryck.
With Christian Georgy, Françoise Temperman, Véronique Ngo Sach-Hien
Free of charge, subject to availability
