Concert – Polyphonies d’hier et d’aujourd’hui

Offered by the Conservatoire du Pays de Montbéliard, this concert takes the audience on a musical journey between two eras, from the XVIIᵉ century to the dawn of the XXIᵉ century.

The programme features a sensitive dialogue between the works of Heinrich Schütz, a major figure of the German Baroque, and those of contemporary composer Philippe Hersant. Around the same emotionally-charged text, the music responds to and complements each other, carried by the richness of the vocal polyphony, the depth of the viola da gamba and the warmth of the positive organ.

On stage:
the Ensemble Vocal,
the Chamber Choir,
the Jeune Ensemble Vocal,
conducted by Cédric Meyer,
with Nicolas Aubin on positive organ and Chantal Bauemler on viola da gamba.
Composers: Heinrich Schütz, Philippe Hersant
Free admission, no need to book (subject to availability)

With the support of the parish and municipality of Audincourt, and the participation of the PMA Heritage Department.
