For this first exhibition of 2026, Le Ph'arts and Mode Ouverture are honouring Marie-Pierre RENAUD, who, as a lover of towns and cities, strives to capture the urban moment with particular attention to composition. With her eye always on the alert, she reveals scenes of everyday life that are often ignored, captured so that they can be shared.
This exhibition brings together fragments of existence gleaned from crossroads, pavements and pedestrian crossings. Anonymous silhouettes, modest gestures, sudden colours, a flash of red, the shadow of a face. Sometimes in black and white, sometimes saturated with light, these images reveal the silent language of those who live in the city but never really stay. They wait for a train, wait on a street corner, laugh at a café, look at a poster, carry a bag, hold a child, stare at a wall. Their journey is played out in the tiniest details.
