Théâtre : EN ADDICTO
En addicto : play - Solo
Diving into the heart of addiction. Thomas Quillardet gives voice to the patients and carers of an addiction ward. Working alone on stage, he portrays their intimate stories with overwhelming accuracy, revealing the virulence of the battle against addiction and the fragility of care.
Synopsis:
"Following a six-month residency at a day hospital specialising in addiction, Thomas Quillardet takes to the stage to give substance to the testimonies of the people he treats and the nursing staff. He lends his voice to a mosaic of stories, ranging from raw confidences to reflections on the therapeutic support system.
Without artifice, with a pared-down staging that leaves room for silences and breaths, En addicto captures the bitterness of the inner struggle. Between emptiness and hope, relapses and recoveries, the actor traverses these life trajectories with disturbing precision. Addiction is less a disorder than a sensitive language - a quest for appeasement, a cry that we try to contain.
Oscillating between bursts of humour and the brutality of reality, Quillardet composes a theatre of listening in which each existence resonates. He sheds light on destinies that are often invisible, questioning the weight of the social gaze and the paradoxes of care. A monologue that shakes as much as it challenges - and invites the audience to listen to those who are too often reduced to their flaws.
