Étienne Rochefort blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion, to the point where we begin to doubt what we are seeing.

Set to music by Mondkopf, the video engages in a dialogue with a dance inspired by popping, an urban style based on jerky, precise movements. The bodies synchronise, fall out of step and transform, creating an unsettling experience where our sense of reality wavers.

In the age of Instagram, TikTok and artificial intelligence, this work explores our relationship with images, digital feeds and fake content, navigating the terrain between fascination, manipulation and a loss of bearings.
