La Bohème, entre rêve et réalité concert du nouvel an
Victor Hugo Orchestra
La Bohème: reality or fantasy? A symbol of freedom, adventure and the artist’s life, it oscillates between travel diaries, financial struggles at the end of the month and the romanticised image of a life devoted to creativity.
Under the baton of Jean-François Verdier, the Victor Hugo Orchestra presents an evening rich in contrasts, at the crossroads of folk music, symphonic music, jazz and rock opera.
From Béla Bartók to Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana, the music explores the colours, rhythms and grand sweep of bohemian life, before giving way to the Guillaume Saint-James Trio and then Freddie Mercury.
A free-spirited and vibrant evening, blending nostalgia, virtuosity and bursts of laughter, where the bohemian spirit is constantly reinventing itself.
