Visite / Concert : L'Instant baroque
The Conservatoire du Pays de Montbéliard, in collaboration with the museums of the town of Montbéliard, is organising a morning event dedicated to cultural, commercial and artistic exchanges.
At 10.00 am, the ‘Import/Export’ tour invites visitors to discover selected items from the collections through the materials and manufacturing techniques used, ranging from marble and rosewood to earthenware, hemp, silk, cotton and indigo. A journey into the fashions of the 18th and 19th centuries, exploring local production, a taste for the exotic, technical innovations and colonial trade.
At 11.00 am, it’s time for the ‘Baroque Stopovers’ concert, presented by students from the early music department, exploring the circulation of music and scores across Europe, from court to court, and the influences that shaped European music.
Free admission, subject to online booking.
