Cyclistes, brillez !

In November, night falls in the late afternoon and the journey home is often in the dark. When cycling, simply seeing the road is no longer enough; you also need to be seen.

This is the aim of the ‘Cyclists, Shine Bright’ campaign, organised by the FUB with the support of the Doubs Departmental Directorate of Territories (DDT), as part of its road safety policy, and the Prefect of the Doubs. In the Pays de Montbéliard region, two cycling organisations are running the campaign: Unis Vers Selle, the cycling school in Bavans, and Vélocité Pays de Montbéliard.

Push your bike over to the stand. There, we’ll check your lights, give you equipment to help you see better and be seen more clearly – such as lights or reflectors – and take the time to advise you on how to cycle safely. You don’t need to cycle every day to benefit from this: occasional cyclists will find it just as useful as those who cycle to work every day.

The first session is on Wednesday 4 November on the Près-la-Rose footbridge, and the second on Friday 6 November on the forecourt of Montbéliard station, both from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm. Free entry.
