Christmas Market Opening Hours 2024

  • Monday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (except Sunday, December 24: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Food Alley (Allée gourmande) – Square Sponeck: stands remain open one hour later than the above times, except on December 24 (closing at 6:00 PM).

Ice Rink Opening Hours (November 23 – December 24)

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 12:00–1:30 PM & 4:30–8:00 PM
    (Dec 23 until 9:00 PM – Dec 24: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM)
  • Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 12:00–1:30 PM & 4:30–9:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Dec 22 until 9:00 PM)

Rates:

  • €6 per session (from age 4)
  • Group rate: €5 per person
  • 10-ticket pass: €50
  • Equipment rental (sled chairs, etc.): €3
    Gloves required.

New! “Little Elves’ Workshop” (Nov 23 – Dec 23)

Friday evenings: family workshops to create your own Christmas decoration (from age 5).

Car Parking

Over 3,000 parking spaces are available in Montbéliard during the Christmas Lights:

Free parking (1 to 5 min walk):

  • Boulevard de Ceinture – 250 spaces
  • Champ de Foire – 300 spaces
  • Parc de l’Île en mouvement – 220 spaces
  • Gambetta parking – 50 spaces
  • Goguel parking – 50 spaces

Free parking (10 min walk):

  • Bonal stadium – 500 spaces
  • Rue Thourot – 200 spaces

Free Park & Ride (15 min by bus – Christmas Lights rates apply on lines 1 and TGV):

  • Axone Park & Ride (A36 exit) – 200 spaces

Covered paid parking (1 to 5 min walk):

  • Velotte parking – 300 spaces
  • Alliés parking – 250 spaces
  • Blancheries parking – 300 spaces

Paid on-street parking (1 to 3 min walk):

  • 485 spaces
  • Lizaine parking – 125 spaces

Park & Ride on weekends
Regular shuttle buses operate until 9:00 PM to and from the city centre.
Rate: €2 per trip.

To make parking easier, use the P2 Park & Ride at Axone (Exit 8 from A36) on weekends from Nov 30 to Dec 22, as well as Monday, Dec 23. Return shuttle from Acropole available until 9:00 PM.
Tickets sold from 1:45 PM to 7:15 PM – Rate: €2 round trip per vehicle.

Motorhome Access

  • Service area: Rue du Champ de Foire
  • Parking area: Port de plaisance (Rue du Mont-Bart), 14 spaces, electric hook-up, WC, shower, laundry

Signage: Follow “Parking Montbéliard” (city centre) from the highway exit, then “Camping-Car” parking.

Accessibility – Persons with Reduced Mobility

10 reserved parking spaces with a European Parking Card:

  • Champ de Foire (Allan side): 2 spaces
  • Rue des Halles (near Denfert-Rochereau Square): 2 spaces
  • Cours des Halles (courtyard centre): 4 spaces
  • Boulevard des Alliés service lane: 2 spaces

Vehicle drop-off for PRM is allowed for boarding/unboarding passengers.

Christmas Market access:
Ramps are installed at strategic points for wheelchair users.

Toilets

Wheelchair-accessible toilets available in the town hall courtyard.

Equipped with microwave and changing table:
