Journées du patrimoine au Musée Beurnier-Rossel

To mark European Heritage Days, the Beurnier-Rossel Museum is opening its doors for a weekend of discovery centred on its permanent collections and its temporary exhibition.

- Self-guided tours of the permanent collections:
Saturday and Sunday: 10.00–12.30 and 13.30–18.00

- Temporary exhibition: ‘Manufacturing Nature: Plants in the Decorative Arts’
Make the most of the final days of this exhibition exploring the role of plant motifs in the decorative arts. Through everyday objects such as coffee pots, music boxes and wallpaper, discover how flowers and plants inspired industrial production in the Pays de Montbéliard and the wider region between 1900 and 1950.

- Guided tours led by Sylvie Biron, Head of Visitor Services, on Saturdays at 2.00 pm and Sundays at 11.00 am
Duration: 1 hour

- ‘Floral Sketching’ workshop

Young and old alike are invited to create their own botanical drawing, taking inspiration from the flowers on display in the exhibition: Saturday: 3.30 pm to 6 pm and Sunday: 2 pm to 6 pm

- Short guided talk: ‘The Reading of the Bible’: Behind the Scenes of an Icon
Discover one of the museum’s major works: *The Reading of the Bible* by Georges Bretegnier. This short presentation offers a deeper understanding of the history, symbols and significance of this iconic painting, which forms part of Montbéliard’s cultural heritage.
