Treat yourself to a cultural break this Sunday and let us guide you through the museum’s collections. Through two guided tours, young and old alike are invited to view the artworks from a new perspective and uncover the secrets of an astonishing bestiary.
Curious Bestiary: Adult tour at 2.30 pm:
Lions, doves, tortoises, eagles and bird-catchers… Animals occupy a unique place in the museum’s collections. As symbols of power and seduction, or attributes of mythological figures, they reveal the full richness of the artworks. During this guided tour, discover the stories and meanings hidden behind these fascinating representations.
Curious Bestiary: Family treasure hunt at 4.00 pm:
Set off with your family in search of the animals that populate the museum’s collections. Real or fantastical, familiar or wild, they are hidden within the artworks, just waiting for you to spot them. Combining observation, puzzles and imagination, this interactive tour invites young and old alike to explore the museum in a different way, in a spirit of discovery and shared enjoyment.
