Mont Bart Fort

The Fort, built between 1874 and 1877 on Mont-Bart, was the link in a national defence chain undertaken after the defeat of 1870. It completes Belfort's fortified belt by preventing it from being bypassed. The Fort has a number of interesting features, the most impressive of which are the covered internal street, bordered on either side by the barracks facades and a fully armoured room.
From the top of the Fort (497 m), you can enjoy a superb view of the Montbéliard region (orientation table).
You can also take advantage of the 7 km of forest road with playgrounds and picnic areas.

Opening days:

In spring, between April and June:
- Weekends and public holidays, self-guided tours from 2pm to 6pm (last admission at 5pm), guided tour at 3pm,
- Closed on 9 June, 19 and 20 April and 14 and 15 June.

During the summer holidays, from 5 July to 31 August
- Daily self-guided tours from 2pm to 6pm except Mondays (last admission at 5pm),
- Guided tours at 2.30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

In September
- On weekends, self-guided tours from 2pm to 6pm (last admission at 5pm), guided tour at 3pm,
- Closed on 27 September

In October
- The fort is open every Sunday, self-guided tours from 2pm to 6pm (last entry at 5pm), guided tour at 3pm.
