2026 Christmas Market Opening Hours

  • Monday: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm;
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:30 am – 8:00 pm;
  • Friday: 10:30 am – 9:00 pm;
  • Saturday: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm;
  • Sunday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm (except Sunday 24 December: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm).

To fully enjoy the Montbéliard Christmas Lights and a smoother experience, visiting during the week is recommended, as weekends naturally attract a higher number of visitors.

Opening hours of the “Allée Gourmande” area, Square Sponeck: stalls will close one hour later than the times indicated above (except on 24 December, closing at 6:00 pm).

Ice rink opening hours, from 23 November to 24 December: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 12:00 pm–1:30 pm and 4:30 pm–8:00 pm (23 December until 9:00 pm – 24 December 10:00 am–6:00 pm). Wednesday: 10:00 am–8:00 pm – Friday: 12:00 pm–1:30 pm and 4:30 pm–9:00 pm – Saturday: 10:00 am–9:00 pm – Sunday: 10:00 am–8:00 pm (22 December until 9:00 pm). Ice rink price: €6 per session (from age 4), reduced group rate: €5, 10-entry pass: €50, equipment rental (chairs, etc.): €3. Gloves required.

New at the Little Elves Workshop: from 23 November to 23 December. Friday evenings: parent–child workshops to create a Christmas decoration as a family (from age 5). Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5:15 pm–6:45 pm (school term time) – Wednesday, Sunday 2:00 pm–6:30 pm and Saturday 2:30 pm–7:00 pm – Monday 23 December 2:00 pm–6:30 pm. Light displays every day from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

Montbéliard offers visitors to the Christmas Lights a wide range of parking options. On-street parking or covered car parks, free or paid spaces… In total, more than 3,000 parking spaces are available.

Park-and-ride parking at weekends:

Regular bus services are available every day until 9:30 pm to reach and return from Montbéliard city centre. Fare: €2 per journey ticket, sold onboard from the driver. Fare: €1 per journey ticket, payable by bank card on the validator, via the évolitY-Pass, or at sales offices and partner outlets. All city centre stops (Etuve, René Thom, Place Ferrer, La Schliffe, Acropole, Helvéie) are served by regular lines.

Park-and-ride

Every weekend between 29 November and 23 December, the city of Montbéliard and Moventis Pays de Montbéliard operate a park-and-ride facility at P2 of the Axone in Montbéliard (Exit n°8 from the A36).
Parking capacity: 660 vehicles.

Special offer

Every Saturday and Sunday from 1:45 pm to 7:15 pm, use this park-and-ride and benefit from a single attractive fare on the bus lines: €2 return trip for all passengers in the same car, whether 2, 3, 4 or more people.
Meet our teams at the évolitY chalet located at the entrance of the car park to purchase your ticket.
Our THNS lines 1 (towards Bethoncourt), 2 (towards Grand-Charmont), 4 (towards Acropole) and 5 (towards Acropole) are available at the Courts Cantons stop, located 130 metres away, to reach the market.

This year, the city of Montbéliard and évolitY are stepping up efforts to make your travel easier. On 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December, special Christmas shuttle services will be in place, in addition to regular bus lines, to provide quicker access to the Christmas market while avoiding parking issues in the city centre.

Arriving by motorhome

Service area: Rue du Champ de Foire.
Parking area: Port de plaisance (Rue du Mont-Bart), 14 spaces, electricity hook-up, toilets, showers and laundry facilities.

Follow the signs from the motorway exit “Parking Montbéliard Centre”, then follow the indications for motorhome parking.

Accessibility for people with reduced mobility

10 parking spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying the European Parking Card:

  • Place du Champ de Foire, first two longitudinal spaces on the Allan side: 2 spaces
  • Rue des Halles, at the junction with Place Denfert-Rochereau: 2 spaces
  • Cours des Halles, in the centre of the courtyard: 4 spaces
  • Service road of Boulevard des Alliés: 2 spaces

Parking
Stopping of vehicles transporting people with reduced mobility is permitted for boarding and alighting passengers.

Access to the Christmas Market
Access ramps are installed throughout the Christmas market pathways to ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

Toilets
Accessible toilets for people with reduced mobility are located in the courtyard of the Town Hall.

Baby changing facilities

Baby changing areas with microwave and changing tables are available at:

  • Tourist Office, 1 Rue Henri Mouhot
  • Town Hall toilets, Place Saint-Martin
  • Toilets at Square Sponeck (food court area)
