With its iconic silhouette, Mont Julien is an unmissable landmark in the Pont-de-Roide-Vermondans landscape. But beyond its striking appearance, this site also bears witness to a long history of human settlement.
During this excursion organised in partnership with ASPIR, discover the history of the site through the traces left by the first communities to settle there. Whilst some excavations suggest occupation dating back to the Neolithic period, it is mainly artefacts from the late Bronze Age that have revealed the site’s full archaeological richness.
Walking shoes recommended. Duration: approximately 2 hours.
