Duos d'opéra : We are women
Presented by the Conservatoire du Pays de Montbéliard
As a follow-up to the masterclass held in the spring, Marie Kobayashi, Isabelle Jost and Masahico Omori present opera duets drawn from the repertoire.
Through these duets, the composers explore the rich diversity of feminine qualities and emotions whilst playing on the bond between the singers.
Thus, the ‘Flower Duets’ by Delibes and Puccini will be juxtaposed with the ancient duets by Monteverdi and Mozart, and the love duets by Gluck and Tchaikovsky, culminating in Bernstein’s eponymous duet ‘We Are Women’.
