Concert : Musica Callada
The Conservatoire du Pays de Montbéliard presents ‘Musica Callada’, a new programme led by saxophonist Jean-Marc Larché’s quartet.
Inspired by Federico Mompou’s description of silent, intimate and essential music, this concert offers a dialogue between classical and jazz music, and between written compositions and improvisations. J.S. Bach and F. Mompou, whose works transcend eras with a striking modernity, take centre stage in this new repertoire. Jean-Marc Larché, on saxophones and composition, is accompanied by Patrice Thomas on guitar, Yves Rousseau on double bass and Anne Condamin on piano.
An invitation to discover sensitive, intimate music, where the silences are just as important as the notes.
