Music and poetry have always been closely intertwined.
Like Schubert, who ‘made poetry sing and music speak’,
this programme offers a cross-fertilisation of different musical styles, with an eye to the present day.
From Kummer to Aperghis, from Mel Bonis to Kaija Saariaho, texts and music intertwine, in trios, duets or solo performances. Let the music speak and the words sing…
As a follow-up, in March 2027, the instrumental students will accompany poetry recited by drama students in a performance for young audiences at the Conservatoire’s library as part of the Printemps des poètes festival.
