Arriving by bike in the Pays de Montbéliard

Accueil Vélo accreditation, an accreditation for a safety travel

The Tourist Office for the Montbéliard Region has the ‘ Accueil Vélo’ accreditation since December 2019

This national accreditation (managed by France Vélo Tourisme) is aimed at professionals: accommodation providers, bike hire/repair companies and tourist offices located less than 5 km from a signposted cycle route (greenways, cycle routes, etc.).

Its aim is to ensure:

  • a quality welcome
  • quality services along cycle routes for touring cyclists.

The EuroVélo 6 in the Pays de Montbéliard

EuroVélo 6 will take you on a stunning trip from the Black Sea to the Atlantic via Budapest and Nantes. Along the way, you will experience culture and nature while effortlessly crossing borders and will be able to see beautiful and perhaps undreamed-of sites.

EuroVélo 6 passes through the Pays de Montbéliard for 32 km, where it runs alongside the Rhone-Rhine Canal and the Doubs. As a result, the route is flat, safe and well-maintained. Along the way, you can explore Montbéliard marina and Près-la-Rose park, and feats of engineering such as the Allenjoie aqueduct (1926), the Courcelles-les-Montbéliard lift bridge (1914) and Brognard lock.

> Booklet and guide is available from the Tourist Office

From the Eurovélo 6, reach the city center of the city of princes thanks to the bicycle signage setting up by the city of Montbéliard. Download the connecting cycle route between the Tourist Office and the Eurovélo 6.
